Getting started with outsourcing
It’s really fun to read this! I found this document in my dropbox, while cleaning up. It was written (by me) when I was taking part on a course at Radboud University aimed at developping sustainable business ideas. It reflects very well what my thought were at that time. It’s interesting to see how far my business ideas have come in just a matter of month.
Even more interesting is that I have kind of let go of the idea “get rich quick”. I’m still in to ear some money – no doubt – but the general mission of my life has taken a much more important place when making decision. Thanks to Jan Jonker for opening up that door for me!
- It started with an idea that was pretty much worked out
- Get writers in the Philippines
- Look for books that sell well on Amazon
- Copy/summarize these books
- Sell them as PDF
- Then I started to think about values and stuff:
- What is unique about that?
- Is this what I would like to contribute to mankind?
- In which way is this a sustainable business?
- Content is king
- I had thought about the whole process, but no about the content
- However the content is very important
- With which content can I come closest to my personal mission in life?
- What is my mission?
MY MISSION: Help people use new technologies to communicate effectively, in the long run build a society in which everyone is present and can speak for themselves. Develop new ideas about how digital communication can change the way we life and work – and help people to put them into practice.
- So…my well thought plan is gone
- What I did right now:
- I gave my writers a 100% raise
- Got ride of the “manager”
- Asked them what they are interested in, what they think is important
- Look around me what people want to know about new technologies
- Only do projects that fit my mission
What’s next?
