One of my hobbies that I really like doing and which I discovered just recently is gardening. I actually never thought that it would be so much fun; and so did Lara. When I planted my first vegetable patch last year, she was sure that this was going to go away pretty quickly. I’ve had quite a lot of hobby try outs; from time to time I try out a new hobby and see if I like them. I usually don’t and I stick with what I already know. However, gardening was so much fun and I just keep on doing it.

There are a lot of people who have inspired me. Most of them probably have been forgotten. There are some people who have stayed on, or who stays fresh in mind, or I may think about every day. I want to share some of those thought with you and tell you about some of those people.

This is an article about moving houses, moving into another city, moving into a new life; that is how it was with me. You probably know by now that I finished my studies in the Netherlands and I’m going to move back to the high mountains, so to speak. We’ve signed the contract for a flat in Dortmund, probably 10 minutes away from where Lara’s parents live.

Giving good advice to people and living your advice is not the same. Today was a good example of how not to work efficiently. My day started with some on the spot and focused email work. This lasted for about an hour, up until my Inbox was down to zero.

Just a few minutes ago I put up a video about how I motivate myself. My friend Nathaniel was the first to comment. A very simple – to the point comment – “I think you need to start with the WHY”.

Ge…he’s right. Totally right in fact. I feel kind of stupid – but hey – that’s life.

I am a very social person and know a lot of people. My network is quite extended, and I especially have a very wide network of acquaintances. These are the people I can’t really consider as friends, but I still call them if I need something, or I would be happy to approach them for something. While it is nice to have acquaintances, there is something endearing about old friends.
